MoU between Terna and National Association of Italian Municipalities

On February 12, 2014, Terna and the National Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI), whose members are 7,318 municipalities representing 90% of the population, signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Rome with the main objective of agreeing the location of electricity works in Italy through increasingly greater harmonization between the development interventions of Terna and the town and country planning tools of Municipalities.
The agreement envisages, in particular, the establishment of a Permanent Coordination Committee between ANCI and Terna, in order to define specific tools useful in the consultation phase between the Company and Municipalities along the route and implementation of the works included in Terna's development plan. In addition, specific consultation committees will also be set up between Municipalities and Terna for individual works to also allow the participation of other public bodies involved.
